Important information on food assistance, education and unemployment during COVID-19 outbreak

Hello, I’m retired NYC police officer and current high school civics teacher John Cummings with some information about the Corona Virus. Being that our current congresswoman has been really weak when it comes to constituent services and relaying information, I would like to offer you some.

If you feel sick or need general information, please call the state coronavirus hotline at 888-364-3065.

If you’ve lost your job, call 888-209-8124.

If you need food assistance go to mealsonwheelsamerica.org. We have also compiled a list here.

Please remember to wash your hands often, cough into your elbow, not touch your face, practice social distancing and if you feel sick, stay at home. Most important, let’s not panic and remember we’re all in this together. As Americans and New Yorkers, we will get through this crisis like we always have – together – and we will emerge stronger than ever.
